Highlights
EAST STROUDSBURG – Sarah Pastorek scored 17 of her season-high 25 points in the first half as No. 12-ranked IUP improved to 10-2 (5-1 PSAC West) with a 67-49 win over East Stroudsburg University in PSAC women's basketball on Friday night at Koehler Fieldhouse.
Sophomore forward
Jessica Martin had 16 points and eight rebounds to lead ESU (4-6, 3-3), which had a three-game PSAC winning streak come to an end.
IUP used early advantages of 12-2 and 22-5 to take a 17-point lead (37-20) at halftime. The Crimson Hawks shot 43 percent in the first half before settling at 39.6 for the game, while ESU shot 34.9 percent but had 21 turnovers.

Ryann Fiascki both added seven points the Warriors, who were edged by IUP 46-45 last season.
The Warriors had wins over Cheyney (65-37), Lock Haven (59-56) and Clarion (76-69 OT) prior to the 16-day break over Christmas and New Years.
IUP made its first four shots from the field and Pastorek had 12 of IUP's 17 points in the first eight minutes of the contest.
The Warriors got within 13 points twice early in the second half, on a layup and two free throws by Martin, but IUP was able to stem the tide. The Crimson Hawks led by as many as 24 after intermission.
Pastorek was the only player in double figures for IUP. Amy Fairman and Talen Watson scored eight points each, Marita Mathe had seven and Ashley Stoner added six.
ESU hosts California (8-2, 4-2) on Saturday night at 5:30 p.m. at Koehler Fieldhouse. The Vulcans are coming off a 69-65 win at Kutztown Friday.
