ESU Warriors "All Access"
EAST STROUDSBURG – East Stroudsburg University's quarterfinal game in the PSAC Men's Basketball Tournament on Tuesday, March 5 at 7 p.m. at Koehler Fieldhouse will be broadcast live on Blue Ridge TV-13 and available online through ESU Warriors “All Access”, it was announced Thursday.
ESU (21-5, 18-4), the defending PSAC champion and this year's PSAC East regular season champion, will play a home playoff game at Koehler Fieldhouse for the first time since hosting the PSAC Final Four in 2010.
The Warriors will take on the winner on Saturday night's game between No. 4 seed Mansfield and No. 5 Bloomsburg. A win would put ESU through to the PSAC Final Four for the fourth straight season.
ESU claimed the PSAC East title with a 102-44 win over Bloomsburg on Wednesday, and earned the No. 1 seed with West Chester's 92-83 loss at Cheyney. ESU and West Chester entered the night tied for the PSAC East lead.
This year's PSAC Final Four will be played on March 8-9 at the highest remaining seed in the PSAC West after the quarterfinals.
Tuesday night's game will be ESU's 10th postseason game in the last four years, but just the third at home. It will be the final home appearance for the senior class of
Gerald Bridges,
Dan Clapp,
Duane Johnson,
Terrance King and
Blair Ramsey that has won 81 games, the most in school history.
ESU has the best winning percentage in the PSAC East over the last four years (.698, 81-35) and the last eight years (.656, 149-78) entering the postseason.
Head coach
Jeff Wilson, in his 11th season, has a career record of 182-125. He has led the Warriors to two NCAA Tournament appearances (2010, 2012) and seven PSAC Tournament appearances in his career, including the three straight Final Four's and last year's PSAC championship.
ESU is ranked No. 20 in this week's NABC Division II poll, and No. 3 in the most recent NCAA DII Atlantic Region rankings which are used to set the field for the NCAA Tournament.
