EAST STROUDSBURG – East Stroudsburg University will recognize seven student-athletes who have earned prestigious academic honors as part of the Warriors' home basketball doubleheader against West Chester on Wednesday, February 26 at Koehler Fieldhouse.

The student-athletes will be recognized at halftime of the men's basketball game, at approximately 9 p.m.

ESU has seven current student-athletes who have been named to their respective Academic All-District teams – part of 66 total Academic All-District selections in the last six years, the second-most in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference.

Five of the student-athletes have received Academic All-America honors.

ESU is also second in the PSAC with 21 "Top 10" awards, which are presented seasonally by the conference to a select number of student-athletes for their combined academic and athletic achievement.

The Warriors' student-athletes will be featured as part of a poster series which will be displayed in a number of academic buildings around campus. The recognition, in its second year, is part of an overall campus endeavor to promote both the academic and athletic achievement of the Warriors' student-athletes.

The honorees are: redshirt senior Robert Bleiler and redshirt junior Robert Bleiler (football), graduate students Nemanja Nikolic and Khriswayne Wallace (men's soccer), graduate student Brendan McKeown and redshirt senior Braden Turner (wrestling) and senior Rebecca Smith (softball and field hockey).
