BETHLEHEM – Senior Laura Beimfohr won the pole vault and East Stroudsburg University athletes turned in four new PSAC qualifying marks in advance of next week's PSAC Championships on Saturday at Lehigh.

Beimfohr cleared 11-5 3/4, tied for her season best, and was ranked eighth in the conference entering the weekend.

Senior Jordan Kain hit PSAC qualifying marks in the hammer (145-1) and shot put (44-6 3/4) to add his name to ESU's four men's throwers who have PSAC qualifiers, including junior Travis Toth (#1 in hammer), junior Mike Smith (#2 in shot put), junior Casey Ciaston (#3 in discus) and sophomore Levi Haldeman.

Freshmen Skylar Carmody (discus – 116-0) and Alysha Menzies (hammer – 134-8) had PSAC qualifiers for ESU's women.

ESU also had a large contingent of athletes participate at the Penn Relays this weekend, including Toth in the hammer and the women's 4x800m relay on Saturday. The Warriors turned in two school records at Penn with senior Chris Schneider in the 5000m (14:36.99) and the men's shuttle hurdles (59.81).

The 2014 PSAC Outdoor Championships will be held Thursday through Saturday at Shippensburg.
