1st & 10 ... Complete Game Notes (PDF)1 • ESU hosts Bloomsburg in the 80th meeting of its rivalry with the Huskies. The Warriors are looking for their first win in the series since a 52-39 victory at Bloomsburg in the 2nd round of the 2005 NCAA DII Playoffs, and its first in the regular season since a 30-24 road win in 2004.
2 • Both teams dropped key PSAC East road games last week. Bloomsburg lost 33-22 at West Chester to fall into a 3-way tie for the PSAC East lead (4-1) with WCU and Shippensburg. ESU fell 63-17 at Kutztown for its 2nd divisional setback.

Denny Douds holds the PSAC record for career wins (254), ranking 3rd in DII history, 20th in NCAA history and 3rd among active coaches.
4 • Douds holds the DII record and leads active coaches in career games (437). He coached his 500th overall game with the Warriors on Sept. 19 (56-12 W vs. Edinboro). Douds has been part of 505 of ESU's 805 games, and 299 of 470 wins, as a varsity program (since 1926).

Bloomsburg holds a one-game lead in the series, 39-38-2. ESU won the only postseason meeting, 52-39 in the 2nd round of the 2005 NCAA Playoffs. That victory was ESU's most recent, with Bloomsburg winning the last 9 overall and last 10 regular season games since ESU's 30-24 win in 2004.

THE HEAD COACHES: Denny Douds (Slippery Rock '63) has a career record of 254-180-3 (.585) in his 42nd season. He has led the Warriors to 9 PSAC titles and 4 NCAA Playoff appearances since taking over as head coach in 1974. His teams won outright state titles in 1975, 1978 and 1982 before the State Game was discontinued following the 1987 season. His teams have claimed PSAC East divisional titles in 1975, 1976, 1978, 1980, 1982, 1983, 1991, 2002 and 2003. NCAA Playoff appearances have come in 1991, 2004, 2005 - when the Warriors won the Northeast Region title and advanced to the national semifinals - and 2009.
Paul Darragh (Temple '85) has a career record of 26-7 in his 3rd season as head coach at Bloomsburg. He has led the Huskies to 2 straight PSAC East division titles, winning the 2013 State Game (42-38) and falling in 2014 (28-26), both against Slippery Rock. Darragh is in his 19th year at Bloomsburg overall and replaced Danny Hale as head coach, who won 173 games, 11 PSAC East titles and made 8 NCAA Playoff appearances in 20 years with the Huskies.
