EAST STROUDSBURG - East Stroudsburg University placed three players on the All-PSAC women's soccer second team - junior midfielder Shea Neal, sophomore midfielder Sammi Ortiz and junior back Laurel Neira - the conference announced Wednesday.

ESU (10-6-1), the defending PSAC champion, advanced to the PSAC semifinals on penalty kicks after a 0-0 tie at No. 2 seed West Chester on Tuesday.

The Warriors travel to Gannon this weekend, facing No. 3 seed Slippery Rock (13-5-1) on Friday at 11 a.m. No. 1 seed Gannon (18-1) hosts No. 4 Edinboro (13-6) in the other semifinal at 1:30 p.m. The championship game is Sunday at 1 p.m.

Neal (Barto, Pa./Christopher Dock) earned her third career All-PSAC honor, landing on the first team as a freshman and sophomore. She is the 10th player in program history to earn All-PSAC status at least three times. She was previously named to the NSCAA All-America first team last fall and is a two-time All-Region selection and 2014 Academic All-District selection.

Ortiz (Kennett Square, Pa./Unionville) is an All-PSAC selection for the first time, and was honored on the 2015 Academic All-District team last week.

Neira (Owego, N.Y./Owego Free Academy) repeats on the All-PSAC second team and was a Daktronics All-America second team selection in 2014.

Neal leads ESU with seven goals and three assists and has gained the last two PSAC Athlete of the Week awards. She scored the game's only goal in a 1-0 win at California, scored in a 2-2 tie vs. Slippery Rock, had the game-winner with 18 seconds left in a 2-1 win vs. Bloomsburg, had a goal and an assist in a 4-2 win vs. No. 1-ranked Gannon and also had two goals and an assist in a 6-0 win vs. Pitt-Johnstown.

Neal has 20 goals and nine assists in her three years at ESU, starting all 56 games in the midfield. She had six goals and three assists as a freshman, and seven goals and three assists as a sophomore.

Ortiz has started all 39 games in the midfield in her first two years for the Warriors and has two goals and three assists. She scored goals in wins vs. Mansfield (3-2) and at Millersville (2-1). She converted the game-tying penalty kick in a must-convert situation on Tuesday at West Chester in the PSAC quarterfinals.

Neira has made 54 career starts at center back in three seasons. She has a goal and an assist this fall after scoring six goals off corner kicks or free kicks on last year's PSAC championship team. She has helped ESU rank eighth of 17 PSAC schools in goals against average (1.18) after leading the conference at 0.50 goals against in 2014.

Gannon midfielder Mani Brueckner was named PSAC Offensive Athlete of the Year for the third time in four seasons, also earning recognition in 2012 and 2013 as a freshman and sophomore. She leads the PSAC in goals (17) and points (41) and is tied for second in assists (7) entering the PSAC semifinals.

Gannon back Olivia Augustyniak is the PSAC Defensive Athlete of the Year, and Gannon head coach Colin Petersen is the PSAC Coach of the Year. Mansfield forward Delaney Meadows is the PSAC Freshman of the Year.

Gannon is represented by three players on the first team with West Chester, Slippery Rock, Edinboro and Kutztown gaining two each. Eleven of the 13 first team selections are members of the top five teams in the conference standings.
