EAST STROUDSBURG - Senior Tyson Searer, a two-time placewinner, leads East Stroudsburg University into the 2015 PSAC Wrestling Championships on Saturday at Mercyhurst.

Searer is one of five Warriors with previous experience at the PSAC Championships, while five others will make their first appearance at the conference meet.

Searer (285 pounds) placed sixth at 197 pounds in both 2012 and 2013. ESU had two placewinners in 2014, both of whom who have departed in Luke DeLuise (4th at 184) and Eric Januszkiewicz (6th at 141).

ESU's lineup starts at 125 pounds, where redshirt freshman Collyn Dorney is off to a 7-3 start. He was fifth at the Doug Parker Invitational at Springfield on November 21.

Redshirt junior Marius Kola is 2-0 this season at 133 and competed at the PSAC's last year.

Redshirt freshman Dylan Nace (141) is unbeaten at 6-0, including the Doug Parker Invitational title. He has one fall and three major decisions, with his other two wins coming by forfeit.

Freshman Mike Raccioppi (149) also makes his PSAC debut and enters with an 8-2 record. He was fifth at the Doug Parker and had a second-period pin of UPJ's Travis Shaffer in his PSAC dual opener on November 24. He is ranked No. 6 in Super Region 1, entering the rankings this week.

Junior Joey Kratochvil (157) is ranked No. 5 in the region and has a 2-3 mark. He competed at the PSAC's at 133 pounds as a freshman in 2013, going 1-2. Redshirt freshman Vickson Krah (165) enters with a 3-3 record.

Senior Colin Martucci (174) is 1-3 and is on the squad for the first time since the 2012-13 season, when he competed at the PSAC's at 165. Junior Brandon (184) is a first-year entrant and has a 2-4 record.

ESU's final two entrants, junior Tyler Richardson (197) and Searer (285), are its two strongest contenders.

Richardson, a 2015 NCAA DII national qualifier, has a 6-2 record this season, including runner-up at Springfield. He was ranked No. 6 in the DII preseason poll before a 3-1 setback to UPJ's Tyler Oliver last week knocked him from second to fifth in the most recent regional rankings. He was 0-1 at the PSAC's last year.

Searer, a 2013 national qualifier at 197, is in his second season at 285 pounds and is currently ranked fourth in the region. He enters with a 3-3 record this year, was the runner-up at Springfield, and has a career record of 62-33. He is aiming to become ESU's fifth three-time PSAC placewinner in nine seasons under head coach Joey Rivera.

The tournament field will be comprised of wrestlers from four Division I programs (Bloomsburg, Clarion, Edinboro and Lock Haven) and eight DII programs (ESU, Gannon, Kutztown, Mercyhurst, Millersville, Pitt-Johnstown, Seton Hill and Shippensburg).

Nine of the 10 weight classes could have at least one nationally-ranked wrestler from Division II. There is one nationally-ranked DI wrestler in Edinboro's Vic Avery (184), ranked No. 2 after finishing third at last year's DI championships.

Among the DII schools, two are nationally-ranked in No. 4 Mercyhurst and No. 7 Pitt-Johnstown. Ranked DII wrestlers are: 125 - No. 6 Willie Bohince (Mercyhurst), 141 - No. 4 Dylan D'Urso (Mercyhurst), 149 - No. 3 Jeremy Landowski (Mercyhurst) and No. 5 Ty Lydic (Seton Hill), 157 - No. 2 Matt Martoccio (Kutztown), 165 - No. 4 Francis Mizia (Mercyhurst) and No. 5 Tyler Reinhart (UPJ), 147 - No. 2 August Mizia (Mercyhurst) and No. 7 John Blankenship (UPJ), 184 - No. 4 Travis McKillop (UPJ) and No. 5 Dakota DesLauriers (Mercyhurst), 197 - No. 7 Brandon Clark (Kutztown) and 285 - No. 3 Andy Welton (Mercyhurst) and No. 6 D.J. Sims (UPJ).

ESU has had 25 PSAC champions in program history, most recently Scott Heckman (149) in 2006-07. Four Warriors have been runner-up since then, most recently Thad Frick (165) in 2011-12.

ESU has won two PSAC team championships, in 1967-68 and 1970-71.
