Terrance King Continues Professional Career in Argentina, Joining San Isidro San Francisco

EAST STROUDSBURG - Former East Stroudsburg University men's basketball standout Terrance King has signed a contract to continue his professional career in Argentina, joining San Isidro San Francisco for the remainder of the 2015-16 season.

King (Bushkill, Pa./East Stroudsburg North) is in his third professional season and returns to Argentina for his second stint in the country's second division.

In 2014-15, King ranked fifth in the league in scoring (17.6 ppg) and seventh in rebounding (8.4 rpg), shot 62.5 percent from the field and averaged 1.0 blocks and 0.9 steals in 37 games for Sport Club Cañadense. He was voted to the Latinbasket.com Argentinian TNA All-Imports Team.

In 2013-14, King played in Ireland for UCD-Marian. He ranked in the top 10 in the SuperLeague in scoring (19.6 ppg), rebounding (11.1 rpg) and blocked shots (2.0 bpg) while leading the league in field goal percentage (68.1). He was named to the Eurobasket.com All-Irish Premier League second team.

King played in France's NM1 league (third division) for Sorgues-Avignon-Le Pontet Vaucluse earlier this year, appearing in four games and averaging 7.8 points and 3.0 rebounds.

In his four years at ESU (2009-10 through 2012-13), King was a two-time All-PSAC East selection, earning a spot on the first team as a senior. He was the PSAC East Freshman of the Year in 2010. He graduated eighth at ESU in career points (1,337), seventh in rebounds (690), fourth in field goal percentage (56.4) and third in ESU history and 10th in PSAC history in blocked shots (180).

King was the PSAC Tournament MVP in 2012, averaging 22.3 points and 11.3 rebounds in three games, including 26 points and nine rebounds in a 90-85 win at West Chester in the PSAC championship game. King helped ESU to an 82-37 record from 2009-10 through 2012-13, with three 20-win seasons and three NCAA DII Tournament appearances.
