EAST STROUDSBURG – The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced on Thursday that senior volleyball player Ali Finch was named to the NCAA Division II CoSIDA All-District 2 Team.

Finch (Cadillac, Mich./Cadillac) earned the CoSIDA All-District honors after posting a 4.0 GPA while pursuing her master's degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders.

The senior becomes the program's third Academic All-District selection all-time and the first since April Mellott and Heidi Johnston garnered the honors in 2002.

Finch has been a staple for ESU this season as she has a team-high 197 kills, 799 assists, five triple doubles and is second on the squad in digs (314) and blocks (81.0).

The three-time PSAC East Athlete of the Week ranks fifth nationally in triple doubles and among conference ranks, Finch is 10th in assists per set and total assists.

The CoSIDA Academic All-District and Academic All-America teams recognize student-athletes for athletic and academic achievements and are nominated and voted on by members of CoSIDA.
