Top athlete during 1920's. He played football for four years. He was a member of a Penn Relays championship relay team in track and field. He competed in baseball. He coached the Providence Steam Rollers during the initial season of the NBA. He was head coach at Brown seven years and one of his players was Joe Paterno.
