School's first All-Conference football player. He received first team honors as an offensive and defensive tackle on the All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference football team in 1954. He was an All-America honorable mention selection. He was elected co-captain of the 1954 team which won the conference championship. He lettered three years in football and four years as a third baseman in baseball.
