Two-time Eastern wrestling champion. He won the 126 pound title at the Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association Championships in 1978 and 1979. He was a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference champion. He posted a 94-15-3 career record with 25 pins. He was 53-3-3 in duals. He qualified for the NCAA Wrestling Championships three times.
