Championship coach. He guided the football team to a combined record of 49-11-2 from 1959-65. His 1964 (8-1) and 1965 (10-0) teams won back-to-back Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference titles. His 1962 team captured the PSAC Eastern Division crown. He played guard in football as an undergraduate.
