Star athlete and coach. He was a top athlete for the Warriors in the 1920's. He played minor league baseball playing on teams with Lou Gehrig, Leo Durocher and Lefty Grove. He was one of the state's most successful high school coaches with his Blakely High School teams compiling a 248-49-14 record over 33 years.
