All-America soccer goalie. He made the National Soccer Coaches' Association All-America team in 1966. He led the team to the quarter-finals of the NCAA Division I Soccer Tournament. He was goalie for the 1962 NAIA championship team. He also competed in baseball three years and basketball two years.
