Dazzling basketball shooter. He set a school record by scoring 23.4 points per game in 1940-41. He had a career total of 1,162 points in only three seasons. His teams had a combined record of 46-3. He also was an end in football and competed in track and field and baseball. He was nicknamed 'Pistol Pete.'
