Freshman letterman. He was one of the first freshman to earn a varsity letter in soccer in 1939. He played for three years from 1939-41 and then returned after World War II to star on the undefeated 1946 team. He was chosen to play in the first North-South All-Star Soccer Game. He also competed in wrestling.
