Championship quarterback. He was quarterback of the 1954 football team, which finished 6-2 and shared the conference title. He returned a punt of 82 yards for a touchdown in the team's 14-13 win over West Chester, considered one of the biggest in the school's history. He later coached football four years. He was president and now is chairman of the board and CEO of Rex-Hide, Inc. in Tyler, Texas.
