KANSAS CITY, Mo. — After a successful season that saw East Stroudsburg University forward Carlos Pepin earn All-PSAC East First Team and NABC All-Atlantic Region First Team, the National Association of Basketball Coaches announced on Tuesday that Pepin will compete in the 2023 NABC Reese's Division II College All-Star Game.
He becomes just the second Warrior to compete in the DII College All-Star game, joining Rasheed Moore following the 2016-17 season.
Pepin will compete for the West Team on Friday, March 24 at 7:00 p.m. EST at the Ford Center in Evansville, Ind., the site of the NCAA Division II Elite Eight.
The Garden State native is one of two players representing the PSAC, joining Shawndale Jones of IUP.
The Lodi, N.J. native ranked ninth in the country in double-doubles with 14 on the season, leading the Warriors in both scoring (17.4 ppg) and rebounding (9.0 rpg) as ESU earned a berth into the NCAA Tournament for the eighth time in program history.
This season, Pepin's 587 points ranks sixth most in a single season (most since Jonathan Roberts' season record of 689 in 1989-90). His 287 rebounds ranks eighth among Warriors in a single season, with his output being the highest since the all-time leading rebounder Roberts posted 332 in 1989-90.
