EAST STROUDSBURG – The East Stroudsburg University baseball program was recognized for its 2011 NCAA Division II Tournament appearance at halftime of the Warriors' men's basketball game against Bloomsburg on Wednesday.

ESU finished third in the Atlantic Region in its second trip to the NCAA Tournament in school history, and the first since 1985. Head coach John Kochmansky and the Warriors are also the only PSAC East team to make the PSAC Tournament the last two seasons, and have won at least 25 games in three straight seasons for the first time in school history. They went 27-20 a year ago and were ranked as high as No. 11 in Division II.

Following the 2011 season, pitcher Jeremy Gigliotti was selected in the 19th round of the Major League Baseball Draft by the San Diego Padres. Shortstop Evan Gallagher, a senior this season, was also named to the All-PSAC East team. Gallagher, Ryan Guarino and Jason Kelmer will serve as captains for the upcoming season which opens in Raleigh, N.C. in less than three weeks.
