THE MATCH-UP: East Stroudsburg University hosts Kutztown on National Girls and Women in Sports Day, and the Warriors' “Hooping for a Cure” Day, at Koehler Fieldhouse. The Warriors are coming off a 62-47 win over Cheyney on Wednesday, while Kutztown took a 72-63 loss to PSAC East co-leader Shippensburg. Kutztown won the first meeting, 69-57, on January 19 despite 15 points and 15 rebounds from So. F Jessica Martin. Advia Campbell led the Golden Bears with 18 points.

LAST TIME OUT: ESU had 21 steals, its most in two seasons, and 14 blocks, its most in at least 10 years, in Wednesday's win over Cheyney. Martin had 14 points, 9 rebounds and 3 blocks, Fr. G Helena Gemmell had 7 points, 7 rebounds and 8 steals and Fr. C Michelle Boggs had a career-high 6 blocks for the Warriors. Martin is 22nd in DII in blocks ... Gemmell is 3rd in the PSAC in steals (2.6) ... Sr. G Barb Borst is tied for 3rd in ESU history with 117 career 3-pointers ... Jr. G Andrea Veres leads active Warriors in scoring (671), followed by Borst (548) and Martin (487), who also has 368 rebounds.

SCOUTING THE GOLDEN BEARS: Kutztown (11-9, 9-7) has lost its last two to Bloomsburg and Shippensburg after winning 4 of its previous 5 to fall to 5th in the PSAC East ... THE MATCH-UP: ESU (18-2, 15-1), authors of the 2nd-best 20-game start in school history, hosts Kutztown in the pursuit of a PSAC East regular season title. The Warriors have won 12 straight games and 16 of 17, including an 81-62 win at Kutztown on January 19. ESU is ranked #13 in Division II and has DII's 4th-longest win streak coming into this weekend.
