EAST STROUDSBURG - The East Stroudsburg University baseball program inducted the second class of its "Bat Club" in a reception at ESU's Innovation Center on Saturday.
Four Warriors - utility player Tim Bishop (1983-86), shortstop Brett Reynolds (1998-01), outfielder Josh Butler (2006-07) and third baseman
Mark Angelo (2009) - were honored as the fifth through eighth members of ESU's "Bat Club", which was started last year.
Pitcher/shortstop Joel Bennett, outfielder J.D. Stern, second baseman Jacob DeBoer and pitcher Jeremy Gigliotti were recognized last fall. (

Information on the Bat Club honorees is below: Tim Bishop - 2010 ESU Athletic Hall of Fame inductee … All-North Atlantic Region selection in 1984 … two-time All-PSAC North selection as a second baseman/pitcher in 1984, and outfielder in 1985 … first ESU player with 100 career hits (134) and strikeouts (144) … first with 50+ hits and strikeouts in a season in 1984, when he hit .378 with 63 strikeouts … leader on 1985 PSAC runner-up and NCAA Tournament team … was also a two-time All-PSAC East wide receiver in football, graduating with a school record 2,146 receiving yards.
Brett Reynolds - All-North Atlantic Region first team shortstop in 2000 … two-time All-PSAC East first team selection in 2000 and 2001 … graduated with school records for runs (159 - still record) and stolen bases (51) … second in career hits (198) upon graduation … career .349 hitter … hit .421 in 2000 with school-record 77 hits … also had school-record 508 assists, ranking second in PSAC history at graduation and fourth currently.
Josh Butler - NCBWA All-Region outfielder in 2006 and 2007 after transferring to ESU … two-time All-PSAC East first team selection … helped 2007 team to first PSAC Tournament since 1985 … set school records for extra-base hits (29) and total bases (123) in a season in 2006 … hit .399 with .711 slugging percentage, 12 doubles, 9 triples, 8 home runs, 52 RBI, 51 runs and 20 stolen bases … in 2007, hit .353 with 50 RBI … holds career record with .482 on-base percentage … second in slugging (.625) and third in batting average (.378).
Mark Angelo - ABCA All-America selection in 2009 after transferring to ESU … ESU's second-ever MLB Draft pick, selected by the Seattle Mariners in the 44th round … set or tied five school single-season records for hits (77), doubles (21), home runs (12), extra-base hits (34) and total bases (136) … hit .421 with 58 RBI and 57 runs … had .481 on-base percentage and .743 slugging percentage.
