ESU outdoor season bestsPHILADELPHIA - Senior
Chris Schneider set a school record with a time of 14:36.99 in the 5000m, leading East Stroudsburg University's entrants on the first day of the 120th Annual Penn Relays on Thursday at historic Franklin Field.
Schneider hit the NCAA Division II provisional qualifying standard and lowered the school record of 14:37.23 set by Iuri Pinto in 2008.
He placed 14th of 36 in the Olympic Development 5000m, which went off at 10 p.m. on Thursday night. His record is a personal best by 16 seconds, bettering his previous time of 14:53.01 set last year.
Earlier in the day, ESU's women's 4x400m relay ran a time of 3:59.66, and junior
