EAST STROUDSBURG - Aliza Mizak scored the game's only goal just 81 seconds into the contest and Millersville held off East Stroudsburg University the rest of the way, advancing to the PSAC field hockey championship game with a 1-0 win on Friday afternoon at Whitenight Field.
Millersville (16-4), the tournament's No. 4 seed, will play Shippensburg (17-2), the No. 2 seed, in the final on Sunday at 1 p.m. hosted by ESU. Shippensburg advanced with a 2-1 win over West Chester (13-7) in Friday's first semifinal.
Mizak scored off a rebound from action in front of the goal following a penalty corner, staking Millersville to an early lead. The Marauders finished the game with advantages of 6-5 in shots and 11-5 in penalty corners.

ESU (15-4), the defending PSAC champion, shared the PSAC regular season title and earned the right to host the PSAC semifinals and championship game for the second straight year.
The loss ends ESU's eight-game winning streak and is its first setback in more than a month, since a 3-1 loss at West Chester in the second game of its PSAC schedule on September 28.
ESU won last year's PSAC championship, its first in school history, with a 1-0 win over Millersville.
The Warriors won the regular season meeting, 1-0 at Millersville on October 8 for their third straight win in the series.
This is the fifth straight 1-0 game between the Warriors and the Marauders, and the sixth straight decided by one goal.
ESU, ranked No. 1 in this week's NFHCA Division II poll and No. 1 in the NCAA DII Atlantic Region rankings, will await the selection of the NCAA Tournament field which will be released Monday at 3 p.m. on ncaa.com.
The Atlantic Region's No. 1 seed will advance to the NCAA DII semifinals, which will be held at Stonehill College in Easton, Massachusetts.
The No. 2 seed will host the No. 3 seed in a first-round game next Saturday (November 12).
Millersville advances to the PSAC championship game for the fifth straight year, winning in 2013 and finishing as runner-up in 2012, 2014 and 2015. The Marauders have won three PSAC championships overall (1985-86, 2013).
Shippensburg is in the championship game for the 11th time and won its only PSAC title in 2005.
Emily Barnard and Cassie Rawa scored first-half goals for Ship in its 2-1 win over West Chester, surviving a late goal by Rachal Toppi, the PSAC Athlete of the Year, with 5:51 remaining.
