EAST STROUDSBURG - Army defeated East Stroudsburg University 30-6 in the Warriors' home opener on Wednesday night at Koehler Fieldhouse.
Senior Sean Carr (141) and sophomore Chris Birchler (285) both won their matches for ESU. Carr earned a 7-4 decision over Matt Kyler, and Birchler defeated Nathan Thobaben 5-3 for the Warriors' two victories.
Carr improves to 5-1 this season after the decision over Kyler, who entered the match with an 18-4 record and was the runner-up at the Penn State Open last weekend for the Black Knights.
Army won three bouts by major decision, starting with No. 15 Fernando Martinez by an 8-0 score over Matthew Benedetti at 125. Casey Thome earned a 10-1 major decision over Alex Bimes at 149, and Dean Gaier won 17-9 over Shane Mallory at 174.
ESU will compete at the PSAC Championships on Saturday at Clarion.
