BLOOMSBURG - The East Stroudsburg University women's tennis team opened its 2007 fall schedule by splitting a pair of matches this weekend at Bloomsburg. The Warriors lost 5-4 to Clarion on Friday and beat IUP 7-2 on Saturday.

Katie D'Ambrosia (third singles, second doubles) and Sarah Deisher (fourth singles, third doubles) both won all four of their matches over the weekend.

D'Ambrosia teamed with Jamie Ferrigno for an 8-8 (7-4) victory at No. 2 doubles against Clarion and beat Devin Rombach 6-2, 6-3 in singles. Against IUP, the doubles pairing recorded an 8-0 win and D'Ambrosia won 12-10 in a tiebreaker over Alyssa Shubra in singles.

Deisher swept both doubles matches with Marissa Tanner and pulled out a 6-4, 7-6 win in singles over Britt Bovalino of Clarion. She also won 6-2, 6-2 against Laura Henderson of IUP.
