EAST STROUDSBURG - East Stroudsburg University earned its second PSAC field hockey victory of the season with a 3-1 win over Slippery Rock on Saturday afternoon at Whitenight Field.
The Warriors held a 39-4 advantage in shots, but didn't go ahead for good until junior Jackie Domzalski scored with 21:43 left in the game to make the score 2-1. Freshman Kira Edelman added ESU's final goal with just over 10 minutes remaining.
Domzalski opened the scoring off an assist from senior Sarah Cordora with 10 minutes left in the first half, and ESU led 1-0 until Ashley Stoner tied the score with a penalty stroke 6:47 into the second half.
Domzalski's game-winning goal was her second of the year and she leads the Warriors with six goals this season.
Lisa Belcastro was credited with 17 saves in goal for Slippery Rock, while ESU junior Carolyn Kisling made two saves on the afternoon.
The Warriors will begin a stretch of four straight away contests with a trip to Millersville on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
