EAST STROUDSBURG - Junior Carolyn Kisling made 10 saves for her first career shutout to help East Stroudsburg University beat Shippensburg 2-0 in PSAC field hockey on Saturday afternoon at Whitenight Field.

The Raiders, ranked No. 2 in this week's NFHCA Coaches Poll, held an 18-10 advantage in shots but the Warriors scored two first-half goals to hand Shippensburg its second straight conference loss. ESU entered the game ranked No. 8 and was coming off a 3-0 loss to IUP.

Junior forward Jackie Domzalski scored her team-leading fourth goal of the season 5:15 into the game to give ESU an early lead. The Warriors got their second goal on a penalty stroke, as sophomore back Kahla Doran entered and put the ball past Shippensburg goalkeeper Allie Rutland for a 2-0 advantage with 18:54 left in the half.

Shippensburg outshot ESU 8-1 in the second half and earned five penalty corners, but Kisling and the ESU defense kept them off the board. Kisling made five saves in each half and senior back Karleigh Bowen made a defensive save with 19 minutes left in the game, clearing the ball off the line to maintain the Warriors 2-0 lead.

ESU evens its PSAC record at 1-1 and is 3-2 overall, while Shippensburg falls to 2-2 and 0-2 in the PSAC after a loss to Kutztown on Wednesday.

The Warriors will continue a stretch of eight straight PSAC contests with trips to Mansfield on Tuesday and Bloomsburg on Sunday.
