KUTZTOWN - Leslie Martin (pentathlon), Janelle Smith (high jump), Russell Smith (55m hurdles), Matthew Gallup (pole vault) and Drew Miller (triple jump) each won their events as the East Stroudsburg University indoor track & field teams both finished third at the PSAC East Challenge on Friday at Kutztown.

Martin won the pentathlon with 2824 points, 21 ahead of C.J. Jacob of West Chester. Smith earned the high jump championship on total number of attempts, with teammate Trina Carito placing third.

Smith clocked a time of 7.72 seconds to win the 55m hurdles, Gallup cleared 15-0 in the pole vault and Miller won the triple jump at 46-4.

Paul Wagner (weight) and Ryan Kramer (high jump) both placed second and Kenny Cardullo and Anthony Scanella were third and fourth in the pentathlon to give the ESU men a top-three finish in five of the seven field events.

Andrew McCloskey was third in both the 55m dash and 200m for the Warriors and Ed Kiser finished third in the 400m.

For the women, Trina Carito was second in the triple jump and Stephanie Weber took second in the pole vault. Niki Pasquarella placed fourth in the mile and Brittiny Mackey was also fourth in the 55m hurdles.

Shippensburg and Kutztown finished one-two in both the men's and women's standings.
