Schillinger Leads Warriors to Three Set Win vs. Kutztown

EAST STROUDSBURG - Senior setter Amilee Schillinger filled up the box score with 26 assists, 12 digs, three kills and three aces to lead East Stroudsburg University to a pivotal 3-0 victory over Kutztown in PSAC East women's volleyball on Tuesday night.

The Warriors and Golden Bears were tied for the fourth and final playoff spot in the PSAC East standings, entering the match with identical 4-5 conference records. ESU won the first set 25-17, then trailed at the midpoint of the final two sets before pulling out 25-22 and 25-21 wins.

ESU fell behind 16-10 in the final set before rallying to tie it at 21-all. Schillinger served the final four points, had a kill to give the Warriors a 22-21 lead, and set up senior Linsey Sewalk for a kill on match point.

Sewalk had eight kills and a .429 hitting percentage and sophomore Alyson Stark had 10 kills, her 17th match in double figures this year. Sophomore Brianne Bachman also contributed six kills, 13 digs and three aces.

ESU's 13 aces were the third-most this season, led by four from senior Caitlin Kuhn. Senior libero Kim Dormer had 19 digs to pace a defense that had 60 digs in three sets.

The Warriors return to action next Tuesday at Shippensburg, the defending PSAC East champion, who they knocked off in five sets on Sept. 23 at Koehler Fieldhouse.
