Men's Cross Country Finishes Sixth at PSAC Championships

LOCK HAVEN - Junior Ryan Doyle finished 22nd, just outside of All-PSAC contention, and the rest of the Warriors' top five wasn't far behind as the East Stroudsburg University men's cross country team placed sixth at the PSAC Championships on Saturday at Lock Haven.

ESU led the men's field with a 48 second spread from its first through fifth runners and placed all of its top five in the top 50. Doyle finished with a time of 25:49 and averaged 5:12 per mile over the 8k course.

Sophomore Chris Zadroga (27th), junior Kyle Weir (33rd), freshman Greg Laraia (44th) and junior Pat Carr (50th) formed the top pack, and freshmen Sam Janssen and Sean Norberg were also under 27 minutes for the Warriors.

ESU's women's team was 14th of the 16 PSAC schools, led by junior Niki Pasquarella, who was 31st with a time of 22:45. Sophomore Amy Moratz and freshman Jonna Trexler were ESU's second and third runners, and senior Amanda Bradbury and freshman Brooke Dunphy also scored on the 6k course.

The Warriors will run in the NCAA Regionals next week at Slippery Rock.
