EAST STROUDSBURG - Senior forward Jackie Yandrisevits had 16 points and eight rebounds to earn MVP honors and lead East Stroudsburg University to its fifth straight win, a 43-41 victory over Georgian Court on the second night of the 44th Annual ESU Basketball Tournament presented by the Lehigh Valley International Airport and North Pole Express.

Yandrisevits had 24 points and 10 rebounds in a 72-57 victory over Post University on Friday and followed up with a near double-double on Saturday. She earned her third All-Tournament honor in four years and her first MVP award after being named to the team as a freshman and a junior.

The Warriors (5-2) struggled from the field, shooting just 31 percent, but were 12-of-14 at the line, led by a 6-for-6 effort from Yandrisevits. Georgian Court shot 41 percent but made just one of its 10 foul shots.

ESU junior forward DeAnna Rayam had 10 points and five rebounds and was selected to the All-Tournament team, along with Georgian Court's Patti Foley (15 points), Jennifer DiChiara and Amanda Bartlett of Queens (N.Y.) and Stephanie Goss from Post.

The Warriors led by as many as seven points on five occasions in the second half and were up 40-36 with 4:30 remaining. Neither team generated much offense from that point, but ESU forced three turnovers and the Lions (2-5) were 0-for-2 from the field and 1-for-4 at the line before getting a couple of layups in the final 10 seconds.

In the first game, DiChiara had 10 points and 19 rebounds and Bartlett scored 15 points as Queens beat Post 63-40.

The Warriors will break for finals this week before returning to action next Friday, Dec. 12 at Moravian for a 7 p.m. tip. ESU beat the Greyhounds 96-89 in overtime last winter with Yandrisevits going over 1,000 career points with a career-high 35.
