BLOOMSBURG - Sophomore guard DeAnna Rayam hit two three-pointers to close out the first half, and East Stroudsburg University opened the second half with a 12-2 run to pull away from Bloomsburg for a 67-50 win in PSAC East women's basketball on Wednesday night.

Junior guard Jackie Yandrisevits led the Warriors with 18 points, Rayam had 12 and sophomore guard Jhazmin Brown scored 11 points for ESU, which improved to 4-5 in the chase for its third consecutive PSAC tournament appearance.

Senior forward Monika Fogelsanger, the reigning PSAC East Player of the Week, scored six of her eight points in the run to start the second half that turned a 38-28 halftime lead into a 50-32 advantage with 12 minutes left.

The Warriors led by at least 15 the rest of the way, and the lead reached as many as 26 points after a three-point play by Brown with just under four minutes to go.

The lead changed hands 10 times in the first half and ESU finally reclaimed the lead for good on a layup by Yandrisevits at the 6:00 mark. The margin was 32-28 as the clock rolled under two minutes before Rayam knocked down a pair of three's to extend the advantage to double-digits going into the break.

ESU forced 26 turnovers and held the Huskies to a 24.1 field goal percentage as Bloomsburg (7-18, 2-8) did nearly half of its scoring at the free throw line, going 22-for-24.

Colleen Kegerreis was perfect at the line, going 12-for-12, and had 16 points and 12 rebounds. Lauren Healy also had a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds, and Stephanie Jones scored 11 points for the Huskies.

The Warriors will look to even their conference record at 5-5 when they take on PSAC East-leading Millersville on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Koehler Fieldhouse.
