MECHANICSBURG - East Stroudsburg University is in 11th going into the final day of the 2008 PSAC Swimming Championships, which are being held this weekend at Cumberland Valley High School in Mechanicsburg and hosted by Shippensburg University.

Sophomore Christine Swiker has placed for the Warriors in both of the individual medleys, and freshman Sarah Roscioli qualified for the consolation finals in the 100 breast on Friday.

Swiker finished 10th in the 400 IM (4:50.69) on Saturday afternoon after coming up less than one-quarter of a second short of qualifying for the finals in the morning prelims with a time of 4:48.39.

Swiker was 12th in the 200 IM in 2:16.62 on Friday after placing 11th in the prelims.

Roscioli recorded a time of 1:10.84 in the 100 breast to place 15th.

The Warriors were ninth in the 200 free relay for their top relay finish in the first two days. The squad of Swiker, Amy Rowland, Heather Van O'Linda and Roscioli finished in 1:42.28.

Senior Debbie Ritter (200 back), Roscioli (100 free) and Swiker (200 fly) will compete in individual events on Sunday. ESU will also swim in the 400 free relay in the final event of the 2008 championship.
