BLOOMSBURG - East Stroudsburg University posted a 39-6 win over Delaware State and fell 42-6 to the host Huskies to finish the 2007-08 wrestling dual schedule on Sunday at Bloomsburg.

The Warriors jumped out to a 30-0 lead against Delaware State, picking up forfeit victories at 125, 141 and 157 and getting pins from Matt Swallow (133) and Jesse Dunn (149).

Swallow pinned Kelvin Watford 41 seconds into the third period for his third fall of the year. Against Bloomsburg, Swallow went into overtime with Jason Guffey and was pinned with four seconds left while trying to avoid the takedown.

Dunn had a defensive pin of Matt Cathell at 4:15 for his first collegiate victory on the mat. Cathell was the Wilkes Open champion in December and had a 24-2 record entering the match.

Senior Dave Williams (197) ran his winning streak to nine matches and improved to 10-5 on the season with a pair of decisions on Sunday. He earned a 7-4 win over Shawn Nowrey of Delaware State, and an 8-4 decision against Eric Shaw of Bloomsburg.

Senior Sean Carr (141) is 22-9 on the season following a 5-3 decision against Bloomsburg's Darren Kern for the only other points of the match for ESU.

The Huskies had three nationally-ranked wrestlers pick up a total of five bonus points. No. 7 Mike Sees (125) and No. 19 Matt Moley (157) won by technical fall, and No. 10 Mike Spaid (285) posted a 9-1 major decision over Chris Birchler.

Birchler is 23-8 on the year, with two of the losses coming to Spaid - 9-1 on Sunday, and 9-2 in the PSAC championship match in December.

Birchler, Carr and Williams will lead ESU's contingent at the EIWA Championships on March 8-9 at Franklin & Marshall. The conference receives 47 qualifiers to the NCAA Championships, with the top four finishers in each weight class and seven wild cards advancing to St. Louis.
