EAST STROUDSBURG - Junior guard Jackie Yandrisevits scored 21 points and senior forward Monika Fogelsanger had all 13 of her points in the second half on Senior Night at East Stroudsburg University secured its third straight trip to the PSAC tournament with a 64-44 win over Mansfield at Koehler Fieldhouse.
The Warriors (11-14, 5-6) led by double figures for nearly all of the second half after building a 32-19 halftime lead behind 11 points from Yandrisevits, seven from sophomore guard DeAnna Rayam and six from sophomore guard Jhazmin Brown.
Fogelsanger scored her first points of the game at the foul line 19 seconds into the second half, hit a three-pointer two minutes later and had an offensive rebound and putback after Mansfield (6-20, 1-10) cut the deficit to 41-35 with 14:39 left.
ESU then went on a 17-3 run over the next 10 minutes, fueled by 10 of the Mounties' 31 turnovers, to take a 58-38 lead on a jumper by senior guard Sheila Gallagher with 3:30 to play.
The victory puts ESU in the PSAC tournament for the third straight season after winning back-to-back PSAC East regular season championships in 2005-06 and 2006-07. ESU will be the No. 4 seed and play at No. 1 Millersville (22-4, 11-0) on Tuesday night.
ESU had 18 steals to match a season-high, led by seven by junior guard Keri Cahill, who also had six points and six rebounds.
Gallagher had four points and six boards in her final game at Koehler Fieldhouse, and Fogelsanger had 13 points, three rebounds, three blocks and three steals.
Yandrisevits was 9-of-12 from the field and had her fifth 20-point game of the season to pull within two points of 1,200 for her career. She passed former teammate Maryellen Onofre '07 (1,179 points) early in the first half.
The Warriors will finish the regular season at Kutztown on Saturday afternoon before preparing for their trip to Millersville on Tuesday.
