HILTON HEAD, S.C. - Upper Iowa won three of the four singles matches that went into a 10-point tiebreaker to beat East Stroudsburg University 5-4 in women's tennis on Tuesday as the Warriors continue their spring break trip to Hilton Head, S.C.

Slippery Rock posted an 8-1 win over the ESU women on Monday, while the men fell 8-1 to Northern Kentucky on Monday and 6-1 to Division I Robert Morris Tuesday.

Katie D'Ambrosia and Jamie Ferrigno (No. 2) and Sarah Deisher and Marissa Tanner (No. 3) both won their doubles matches for the Warriors against Upper Iowa, and D'Ambrosia and Ferrigno earned singles victories.

Deisher fell 5-7, 7-5 (10-8) in the closest of the six singles matches. At the top singles spot, Shana Morris recovered from an 0-6 first set to win the second set 6-4, but fell 10-2 in the tiebreaker. At No. 6, Liz Farnsworth won the first set 6-3, but dropped the second and lost the tiebreaker 11-9.

The third doubles pairing of freshmen Ryan Baxter and Will Norris improved to 3-0 on the trip with a pair of victories over the last two days. They won 9-7 for ESU's only point against Northern Kentucky, and 8-4 against Robert Morris.

Junior Rob Mikolon won 6-2, 6-1 in the sixth singles match to earn the point for the Warriors against the Colonials.

The Warriors will finish their spring break trip on Wednesday when the women take on Ashland at 8 a.m. and the men play Charleston at 1 p.m.
