LOCK HAVEN - Lock Haven ended East Stroudsburg University's undefeated start in women's lacrosse with a 23-6 win in PSAC action on Saturday.
The Bald Eagles, ranked No. 6 in Division II in the most recent coaches poll, opened the game with the first eight goals and improve to 3-1 (2-0 PSAC).
ESU (5-1, 3-1) had won its first five games this season, three against PSAC competition, after going 3-12 a year ago.
Junior Katie Cook scored three goals and senior Katie Fretz had two goals and an assist to lead the Warriors. Freshman Michelle Mangiaruga continued her stretch of multi-point games to start her career with a goal and two assists, and freshman Brittany Bissell also handed out an assist for ESU.
Leigh Titus led Lock Haven with five goals, all in the first half, to build a 15-4 lead.
ESU will travel to IUP for a 4 p.m. game on Tuesday.
