EAST STROUDSBURG - East Stroudsburg University had nine individual winners and the men finished first and the women were second at the ESU-Lafayette Quad Meet held Saturday at Eiler-Martin Stadium.
Senior Iuri Pinto (1500m), junior Ryan Kramer (high jump) and sophomores Andrew McCloskey (200m), Matt Gallup (pole vault) and Drew Miller (triple jump) each claimed victories and the Warriors men earned 97 points, outdistancing Moravian (72), Lafayette (60), Rider (47) and Kutztown (11).
On the women's side, junior Katherine Doyle won the 100m dash, sophomore Trina Carito won the triple jump and freshmen Jasmine Johnson (400m) and Lynn Mayer (high jump) also posted victories as ESU was second behind Division I foe Lafayette.
Doyle and sophomore Ed Kiser both ran fast splits to lead ESU's 4x400m relay teams to wins.
Doyle ran the third leg in 59.4 seconds and Johnson, Carito and junior Amilee Schillinger finished in 4:04.39 to beat Lafayette by almost five seconds.
In the men's race, Kiser ran a 48.8 second split on the third leg and ESU finished nearly nine seconds ahead of Moravian in 3:23.48. Greg Pammer and Rusty Smith ran the first two legs and Tony Prudente was the anchor.
McCloskey won the 200m in 21.90 seconds and was second in the 100m dash in 10.91. Senior Travis Pregnar (800m), sophomore Ryan Doyle (3000m), junior Jeremy Buttersworth (400m hurdles) and freshman Chris Zadroga (steeplechase) were all second in their events on the track.
In the field events, Kramer won the high jump with a height of 6-2 and was followed by sophomore Kenny Cardullo and Miller, who were third and fourth. Miller reached 47-3 to win the triple jump and Cardullo threw 197-4 to place second in the javelin.
Sophomore Chris Reddick was second in the long jump, and sophomore Paul Wagner was second in the hammer and third in the discus.
ESU took four of the top five spots in the women's 3000m as seniors Amber Horn, Lori Johanson and Amanda Bradbury finished second through fourth and freshman Amy Moratz placed fifth.
Sophomore Emily Hollick and junior Kara Parrillo were second and third in the 400m hurdles and sophomore Niki Pasquarella was third in the steeplechase. Schillinger placed third in the 400m behind Johnson, who won the event in 59.21 seconds.
Junior Kristen Morby was second for ESU in the pole vault and four Warriors placed fourth in the field events - Hollick in the high jump, freshman Nashanti Iglesias in the long jump, freshman Jess Sekely in the discus and freshman Allison Cardullo in the javelin.
The Warriors will continue their outdoor schedule next weekend with the PSAC East championships at West Chester.
