MANSFIELD - Sophomore midfielder Caitlin Brownley tied the game at 1-1 just before halftime, but Laura Carden found the cage twice in the second half to lead Mansfield to a 3-1 win over visiting East Stroudsburg University in non-conference field hockey on Tuesday.

Jaimie Purdy gave Mansfield a 1-0 lead 14 minutes into the second half before Brownley scored her team-leading fourth goal of the season with 1:50 remaining until halftime.

Carden scored 3:02 into the second half on an assist from Jessie Wolski and sealed the win for the Mounties with 10 minutes to play with the assist coming from Jordan Rishel.

Brianna DeLuca made one save and Mansfield also had a defensive save to hold ESU to one goal on five shots. Senior Carolyn Kisling faced 12 shots and made four saves for the Warriors.

ESU continues its four game road trip with games at IUP on Saturday and Slippery Rock on Sunday.
