CALIFORNIA - Senior Janel Cleffi's penalty kick seven minutes into the second half tied the game at 1-1, and East Stroudsburg University came away with a tie at California in non-conference women's soccer on Saturday.

Cleffi, a returning first team All-PSAC East selection, leveled the score with her first goal of the season and offset a breakaway goal by Cal's Raghen Morrow three minutes before halftime.

Both goalkeepers, Janine Turcio for the Warriors and Erin Cook for the Vulcans, made seven saves. ESU had five shots in overtime, including four in the second session, and held a 17-11 advantage for the game.

ESU welcomes Millersville to Eiler-Martin Stadium for its first home night game of the season on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
