EAST STROUDSBURG - Sophomore Monica Gombita had a goal and an assist and the defense didn't allow a shot as East Stroudsburg University blanked Millersville 3-0 in PSAC East field hockey on Saturday at Whitenight Field.

Gombita assisted on a goal by junior Molly McNeil with 7:48 left before halftime to give ESU a 1-0 advantage, and found the cage just under 20 minutes into the second half for her third goal of the season.

Junior Kierstyn DeNardo scored her team-leading fifth goal with 32 seconds remaining to provide the final margin.

Senior Carolyn Kisling wasn't tested in posting her first shutout of the season and ESU's third of the year.

The Warriors return to Whitenight Field on Sunday at noon with a non-conference game with PSAC West member Mercyhurst.
