SHIPPENSBURG - East Stroudsburg University led PSAC East preseason favorite Shippensburg 35-29 at halftime, but the Raiders came back for a 77-67 win in the Division II Game of the Week televised nationally from Heiges Field House on CBS College Sports Network.

Senior forward Jackie Yandrisevits had 25 points and eight rebounds for ESU (7-8, 0-2), her fourth straight game with at least 20 points and the 25th 20-point game of her career, and reached a pair of career milestones. She passed Lori Pio for fourth on the school's career scoring list with 1,546 points, and became the second player in ESU history to rank in the top 10 in career points, rebounds, steals and blocks.

Lauren Beckley had 34 points and 14 rebounds for Shippensburg (8-7, 2-0), including 21 points in the second half as the Raiders put up 48 points and pulled away in the final five minutes.

There were eight lead changes in the first 12 minutes of the game, with neither team scoring consecutive buckets until the 5:51 mark, before ESU put together a 10-0 run to lead at the half. Yandrisevits scored 10 of her 17 first-half points in the last 5:31, starting the Warriors' run with a three-point play, then hitting a jumper to put her team ahead and a three-pointer two possessions later.

Junior center Alexa Detzi scored a season-high 12 points and had a layup seconds into the second half to put ESU ahead by eight, but Shippensburg came back with a 12-2 run led by seven points from Beckley.

The Warriors stayed within one possession until there were less than eight minutes left and tied the game on buckets by senior guard Keri Cahill and sophomore forward Rachel Grimes before Shippensburg hit back-to-back three-pointers to stretch the lead to 63-55 with 6:21 to play.

Junior forward DeAnna Rayam hit a three to cut the deficit to five (66-61) with 3:25 left, but the Raiders did the rest of their scoring at the foul line, going 11-of-14 down the stretch, to stay in front. The final 10-point margin was the largest for either team in the game.

Rayam scored 14 points and Cahill had seven points, four rebounds and five assists for ESU, which shot 46 percent for the game.

Kasey Gardner (15 points) and Elise Mercer (14) were both in double figures for Shippensburg. The Raiders shot 51 percent overall and 8-of-16 from the three-point line, including a 5-of-6 showing by Beckley.

ESU returns to PSAC East action on Wednesday with a 6 p.m. match-up with Bloomsburg at Koehler Fieldhouse.
