Box Score

CLARION - Senior forward Jackie Yandrisevits scored 18 of her 22 points in the second half, senior guard Keri Cahill matched her career-high with 14, and East Stroudsburg University overcame a double-figure deficit to win 67-63 at Clarion on Saturday afternoon.

ESU (6-4) trailed 30-18 at halftime and 46-33 with 11:30 left before going on a 14-2 run to get back in the game. Yandrisevits gave the Warriors their first lead since midway through the first half with a three-pointer that made the score 55-54 with 3:38 left and ESU never trailed from that point.

Yandrisevits' second triple of the half was part of a 10-1 spurt over a pivotal three-minute stretch late in the game. Clarion climbed back within 60-59 on a three-pointer by Lizzie Suwala with 1:39 to play, but Cahill scored five points in the final 1:06 to provide enough cushion to earn the win in ESU's first game since December 17.

Cahill was 3-for-5 from the field, hit a three-pointer and was 7-of-9 at the line to equal her career-best that she set against the University of the Sciences as a junior. Yandrisevits was 8-for-11 at the line, all in the second half, and 2-for-3 from long range to notch her 20th career game with at least 20 points.

Junior forward DeAnna Rayam and sophomore guard Kristen Murray both scored 11 points each to give ESU four players in double figures.

The Warriors held a 22-13 advantage in turnovers, including 12 steals, and held Clarion's Katrina Greer to a 3-for-17 performance from the field. Greer and Sara Pratt scored 12 points each for the Golden Eagles (3-6).

ESU continues PSAC crossover play on Sunday with a 1 p.m. tip at Gannon.
