Joanna Reckley had a goal and an assist in the first half as No. 3 East Stroudsburg University posted a 3-0 shutout against Slippery Rock in non-conference field hockey on Sunday afternoon at Whitenight Field.

Jessica Frantz scored her 10th goal of the season on an assist from Reckley just under 20 minutes into the game to put the Warriors (13-5) on the board, and Reckley scored four minutes later, assisted by junior forward
Brittany Kocis, to make the score 2-0 at halftime.

Caitlin Brownley found the cage for the 17th time this season 3:22 into the second half, with senior midfielder
Kierstyn DeNardo recording the assist.
Brownley moved into third in points and fifth in goals in a single season in school history. Her 42 points, on 17 goals and eight assists, are four behind Ann Marie Dellibovi's total in 1990. Ashley Kocis holds school records with 29 goals and 59 points in 2006.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Maureen Ordnung made a sprawling stop on a shot in the first half for her only save of the game and had her fourth shutout of the season. ESU outshot Slippery Rock (2-15) by a margin of 20-2, and had 11 more penalty corners (14-3).
ESU hosts Catawba (N.C.) on Monday at 3:30 p.m. and Mansfield on Thursday at 4 p.m. to wrap up the regular season. The Warriors will await their postseason fate depending on the results of Kutztown's PSAC East games vs. Millersville on Tuesday and C.W. Post next Saturday.
