LANCASTER – East Stroudsburg University freshman Karen Cash earned medalist honors for the second time this fall, winning the Lancaster Intercollegiate Classic by 11 strokes after the second day of play was rained out on Tuesday.

Cash carded a round of 81, easily outdistancing Meghan Maloney (92) and Julia Fiala (93) of Franklin and Marshall, on the par 74, 5,864-yard Lancaster Country Club course on Monday. Tuesday's round, scheduled for Crossgates Golf Course in Millersville, was canceled due to heavy rain that resulted in unplayable conditions.

Cash also won the Clarion Invitational, a rain-shortened 27-hole event, by two strokes on Sept. 26-27. She was 10th at the Mercyhurst Fall Invitational in her first collegiate event.

Franklin & Marshall won the four-team tournament by one stroke over West Chester, 379-380, with the Warriors finishing 10 strokes back at 389. Stevenson rounded out the field in fourth.

ESU produced the 11th, 12th and 13th finishers in the field of 21 athletes. Freshman Regan Zimmerman (101), freshman Alycia Jones (103) and sophomore Becky Benner (104) all turned in competitive rounds for the Warriors.

The event wraps up ESU's fall women's golf schedule, as the PSAC Championships were rained out two weeks ago and will be contested next spring.
