EDINBORO – Freshman
Frank Fezza finished 12th to earn All-PSAC honors and led the East Stroudsburg University men's cross country team to fourth at the 2009 PSAC Championships, the Warriors' best finish since 1996, on Saturday at Edinboro.
ESU's top five were all among the first 33 finishers, led by Fezza's all-conference performance, the Warriors' first since Iuri Pinto was ninth in 2007. Fezza completed the 8K course at Edinboro in 26:56.7 and sophomore
Greg Laraia was 21st (27:17.6), one spot out of All-PSAC recognition.
Seniors
Kyle Weir (30th) and
Pat Carr (33rd) and freshman Michael Pereira (31st) rounded out the Warriors' first five runners. Freshman
Amr Aldeen was 34th, followed by junior
