KUTZTOWN – Senior Christine Swiker and junior Sarah Roscioli both made the championship finals in three events and Swiker won the 400 IM to lead East Stroudsburg University to third at the Kutztown Invitational on Friday and Saturday.

Swiker turned in a time of 4:50.65 in the 400 IM, placed third in the 200 IM (2:18.34) and fourth in the 200 fly (2:19.06) to lead five Warriors who qualified for the championship finals with top-six finishes in the prelims. ESU had 10 other swimmers make the consolation finals and scored 335 points to place third out of five full squads that competed.

Roscioli was third in the 50 free in 26.24 and finished fourth in the 200 breast (2:40.83) and fifth in the 100 breast (1:12.61). She also contributed to four of ESU's five relay teams and anchored the 200 free relay to third place in 1:44.65 along with freshman Tara Robinson, senior Heather Van O'Linda and freshman Kimberly Lawson.

Lawson made two championship finals, taking third in the 200 fly (2:17.52) and fourth in the 200 free (2:04.14), and was also eighth in the 100 back. Robinson placed fourth in the 100 free (57.98) and ninth in the 50 free, and freshman Valerie Davis was sixth in the 100 breast (1:13.77) and ninth in the 200 breast.

The Warriors return to competition on December 4-5 at the Longnecker Invitational at Grove City College.
