LOCK HAVEN – East Stroudsburg University finished its 2009 women's volleyball season on the road at Lock Haven on Tuesday night, falling in three sets to the PSAC East regular season champions.

The Bald Eagles (27-5, 16-3) won by scores of 25-15, 25-14, 25-14 and will be the top seed in the PSAC East in the upcoming conference championships. ESU concludes its year with a record of 10-21 (3-16).

Junior libero Lindsey Lullo had nine digs to give her 562 for the season, fifth at ESU since 1990. Lullo was seventh in Division II in digs per set in this week's NCAA rankings, and finishes the year with an average of 5.68 digs per set and has 1,012 digs in her career.

Outside hitter Alyson Stark led the Warriors with five kills and middle hitter Brianne Bachman had four kills. They are part of a five-member junior class that will return to lead ESU in 2010.

Stark led the Warriors in kills per game (2.8) for the third straight season and had a team-high 174 kills despite missing five weeks of the season due to injury. She returned to post a season-high 18 kills vs. Shippensburg last Friday and will enter her senior year with 706 career kills, just outside the top 10 in school history.

Bachman had 157 kills for an average of 1.9 per game and led ESU in hitting percentage (.220) and blocks (38). Junior outside hitter Emily Detter and freshman middle hitter Megan Plumb both had 119 kills, Plumb was second on the team with 28 blocks and Detter was second with 182 digs.
