EAST STROUDSBURG – Redshirt senior Shane Mallory posted a pair of victories as East Stroudsburg University dropped duals against Buffalo and Drexel in a tri-meet on Sunday afternoon at Koehler Fieldhouse.

Buffalo topped Drexel 27-15 in the morning's first match, which was followed by wins by Buffalo (35-7) and Drexel (33-6) over the Warriors.

Mallory had a major decision by a 14-6 score over Buffalo's Josh Peters in their bout at 184 pounds, and had a takedown in the final 10 seconds to earn a 4-3 decision against Justin Wieller of Drexel in his second match of the day. He improves to 60-42 in his career as a four-year starter for the Warriors, which includes 24 wins by bonus points.

Redshirt sophomore Ken Monarque (174) posted a 3-2 decision against Brian Sheehan for the Warriors' other victory against Buffalo. Redshirt junior Jeff Jacobs (165) took a 6-1 decision over Drexel's Alex Rinaldi in the second session.

Junior Ed Ebewo (197) dropped two close decisions, 3-2 vs. Jimmy Hamel of Buffalo and 6-4 vs. Jack Callender of Drexel. Jacobs fell 3-1 to Buffalo's John-Martin Cannon.

ESU returns to action next Saturday at the Seton Hill Duals after a week-long break for final exams. The Warriors' next home match is Tuesday, January 5 at 1 p.m. against Wilkes University.
